Blood Omen was released near the end of an era when PC games generally came with printed maps, or some other token of the fictional game world. The PC release included an 8" x 17" fold-out colour map. The strategy guide for the game (see Strategy Guides) featured a much larger map - approximately twice the size in both width and height.

Besides their size, the maps also differ in the artwork around the edges - the larger of the two has a few more pieces.

As neither the PC version of the game nor the strategy guide have ever been reissued, it is becoming increasingly rare to find either map on the secondhand market.
