The 80s Goth Reaver
article by Ben Lincoln
First discovered through screenshots of a pink and black Reaver in Early Versions of Soul Reaver 2, it soon became apparent that the so-called "Dark Reaver" was in fact a pale shadow of its original design: a weapon which would harness the power of 80s goth band The Sisters of Mercy.
Submitted for your approval: the cover of The Sisters of Mercy's debut album First and Last and Always, and for comparison the Dark Reaver symbol used in Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance.
Jacob Henwood adds that in Soul Reaver, Raziel powered his Glyph magic with "Eldritch Energy". More like Andrew Eldritch Energy, am I right?
